More than 70 exhibitors came together at Charles Sturt University for the Bathurst Careers Expo, giving students, job seekers and career changers the opportunity to explore a wide range of employment, training and education pathways.
Held in the CSU Gymnasium, the free event welcomed visitors from across the Central West, connecting them with leading employers, training providers and educational institutions. The expo showcased career opportunities across a diverse range of industries while providing valuable advice, networking opportunities and information to help people plan their next steps.
Bathurst Mayor Robert Taylor said the Careers Expo continued to play an important role in supporting the region’s workforce and encouraging lifelong learning.
“We are committed to helping our community thrive by supporting career growth and lifelong learning. The Careers Expo is a one-stop shop for anyone curious about what to do next,” Cr Taylor said.
The annual event highlighted the many career opportunities available locally, encouraging young people to consider building their futures in the Central West while also supporting those looking to retrain, upskill or change careers.
Mayor Taylor also acknowledged the support of the event’s sponsors, thanking Charles Sturt University, Ayme Group, Loveridge Digital, the University of Wollongong, NSW Mining and ADF Careers for helping deliver the expo.
With strong support from industry, education providers and the wider community, the Bathurst Careers Expo once again demonstrated the importance of connecting local people with the skills, training and employment opportunities needed to strengthen the region’s future workforce.
