There’s plenty to celebrate at Kandos High School, with the school’s Show Team continuing to make its mark on the regional agricultural show circuit, showcasing the enthusiasm, dedication and talent of its students.
The team recently represented Kandos High School at the Cootamundra Show, gaining valuable experience while putting their agricultural knowledge and judging skills to the test. For these young competitors, agricultural shows provide a fantastic opportunity to build confidence, develop practical skills and connect with others who share their passion for rural industries.
Among the team’s achievements was a particularly impressive result for student Jocelyn, who secured qualification for the Junior Fleece Judging competition at the Sydney Royal Easter Show! And this talented young competitor is certainly no stranger to success!

Earlier this year, Jocelyn earned her place at the National Championships following an outstanding performance at the Sydney Royal Easter Show. Competing at Brisbane’s famous Ekka, she went on to finish an incredible fourth in Australia! Her latest achievement at Cootamundra is another terrific result, reflecting her dedication, enthusiasm and exceptional knowledge of the agricultural industry.
While Jocelyn’s success deserves a huge congratulations, the efforts of the entire Kandos High School Show Team are equally worth celebrating. These students continue to demonstrate the wonderful opportunities available through agricultural education, proudly representing their school and regional community.
The school also acknowledged Andrew Holgate from AWN Rural for his involvement in the Junior Fleece Judging competition at Cootamundra.

Experiences like these are about much more than ribbons and results. They encourage teamwork, resilience, friendships and a greater appreciation of the industries that are so important to our rural communities.
Congratulations to the entire Show Team, and a special shout-out to Jocelyn on her fantastic achievement. Kandos High School certainly has plenty to be proud of!
