Rydal Is Ready To Bloom

Daffodils at Rydal

This weekend, follow the daffodils to one of our region’s prettiest spring events.

If there was ever a weekend to take a drive to Rydal, this is it!

Daffodils at Rydal returns this Saturday 12 and Sunday 13 September, with the historic village throwing open its gates for two glorious days of gardens, flowers, art, food and country hospitality.

Running from 10am to 4pm both days, this much-loved spring tradition will feature nine beautiful village and country gardens, each offering something a little different to explore.

And there’s plenty more than daffodils!

Visitors can enjoy artisan stalls, food, coffee, live music, plant sales and local makers, while the popular Kimbri Art & Sculpture Show will once again showcase the talents of regional artists.

Pioneer Park will provide another spectacular stop, filled with daffodils and sculptures and offering the perfect place to slow down and soak up the atmosphere.

A $10 ticket gives visitors access to all open gardens as well as the Art & Sculpture Show, with a map provided to help plan your wander. Parking is available at the Rydal Showground, with a shuttle bus helping visitors reach the outer gardens.

There’s even something special for train lovers, with a heritage train arriving at Rydal Station at 11am on Saturday.

Best of all, enjoying a beautiful day out also supports a great cause, with half of this year’s proceeds supporting Lithgow charity Nanna’s Touch, while remaining funds help the Rydal Village Association continue its work caring for and beautifying the village.

So grab the family, bring your garden-loving friends — and even the dog on a lead — and make a day of it.

The daffodils are blooming, the gardens are ready and Rydal is waiting!
