With the Volunteer Expo set for Tuesday, May 19, 2026, Bathurst View Club is preparing to step forward and showcase the impact it is making both locally and across Australia.
The club, aligned with The Smith Family, plays an active role in supporting disadvantaged students through the long-running Learning for Life program. Members sponsor children throughout their schooling, helping to remove barriers to education and provide greater opportunity for the future.
However, organisers say the program’s success relies heavily on community involvement, with the upcoming expo providing an ideal platform to connect with potential new members.
Bathurst View Club will host a stall at the event, highlighting how individuals can turn a passion for education into meaningful fundraising efforts while building strong social connections. The club is made up of women from diverse backgrounds, united by a shared belief in the value of education and its role in shaping confident, capable young people.
Beyond fundraising, the group offers a welcoming environment with regular meetings, guest speakers, and a calendar of events designed to bring members together while supporting a worthwhile cause.
The Volunteer Expo will be held at Bathurst RSL Club from 10.30 am to 1.00 pm, offering residents the chance to explore a range of local organisations and volunteering opportunities.
Bathurst View Club is encouraging anyone interested in making a difference to stop by their stall, learn more, and consider becoming part of a network committed to giving disadvantaged students a fairer start.
As Publicity Officer Vicki Archer notes, it is an opportunity not only to give back but to be part of something that benefits both the community and those involved.
