Macca’s is coming to Bowenfels

McDonald’s Australia has started construction on a new restaurant in Bowenfels (1028B Great Western Highway, Bowenfels NSW), injecting more than $6 million into the local economy and creating over 150 jobs for local construction workers and restaurant employees.

Macca’s Bowenfels will be owned and operated by Licensee Ian Garton, who joined McDonald’s as a crew person over 49 years ago and now, with his wife, employs over 1,600 people across 13 restaurants in the Penrith, Hawkesbury and Blue Mountains regions.

Revitalising the local character of a long-standing community site, Macca’s Bowenfels will bring a fresh new dining destination to the region, complete with modern décor, a dual-lane drive-thru and McCafé.

Ian Garton, Licensee for McDonald’s Bowenfels, said:

“We are excited to start construction on a new restaurant in Bowenfels and create over 150 jobs during construction and once the restaurant opens.”

“McDonald’s Bowenfels is committed to playing an active role in the local community through providing jobs, training and development opportunities, as well as supporting local causes and groups that are important to our customers and people.”

“We look forward to serving up our great-tasting, great-quality menu when the restaurant opens later this year.”

McDonald’s is currently hiring for a variety of crew, barista, management and maintenance roles in restaurants across the Lithgow region. For more information or to apply for a role, please click here.
