Oberon’s Stapleton family has returned home with an outstanding result from the 2025 National Reined Cowhorse Association Australia National Finals, held in Geurie, bringing home multiple titles in a highly competitive field.
Quentin Stapleton delivered a standout performance across the Open divisions, securing first place in the Open Cow Horse aboard WK Spoonfula Freckles with a score of 151. He followed this with another win in the Open Cow Horse Cutting on SCH Dreams of Royalty, while also placing third in the same event on WK Spoonfula Freckles.
Continuing a dominant run, Quentin claimed first place in the Open Spectacular Cowhorse, again riding WK Spoonfula Freckles, achieving an impressive combined score of 220.5 across the three-phase event. He also placed second in the Restricted Open Cow Horse on Metallic Sniper, rounding out a remarkable week of competition.
Adding to the family’s success, daughter Sophie Stapleton secured first place in the Junior Youth Boxing event aboard Dual Reysponse, highlighting the depth of talent within the Stapleton family and their QRS Equine Services operation.
The event attracted strong competition from across the country, making the results even more significant for the Oberon-based team. The family acknowledged the support of sponsors, whose contributions of cattle and prizes played an important role in the event’s success.
They also praised National Reined Cowhorse Association Australia President Michael Rapley, his wife Michelle, and the organising committee for delivering a well-run and enjoyable national finals.
The achievements mark a proud moment for the Stapleton family and the Oberon equestrian community, with their success reflecting both dedication and a deep passion for the sport.
