The Bathurst Business Chamber’s June After Hours event delivered an evening of networking, practical business advice, and one exciting announcement set to bring a new community celebration to Bathurst.
A strong crowd of local business owners and representatives gathered at Rydges Mount Panorama for the Chamber’s monthly networking event, where June’s business co-host, David Cooke from Accumen Accounting, provided an informative presentation on recent tax changes and end-of-financial-year considerations.
With the new financial year just around the corner, attendees heard practical advice on key changes affecting businesses, making for a timely and well-received presentation.
Then came the announcement that had everyone talking.
Chamber members and guests were the first to hear plans for the **Bathurst RSL Fireworks at Mount Panorama**, with the unveiling generating plenty of excitement throughout the room.
Proudly supported by Bathurst RSL Club and delivered in partnership with Bathurst Regional Council, the family-friendly event will see Mount Panorama become the backdrop for Bathurst’s New Year’s Eve celebrations for the first time.
Plans include a professionally produced fireworks display, live entertainment, food vendors, family activities and community celebrations, creating a new opportunity for locals and visitors to celebrate together at one of Australia’s most recognisable destinations.
The event is the result of months of planning by the Bathurst Business Chamber Committee, whose volunteer members have worked alongside Bathurst RSL Club, Council and community partners to bring the concept to life. Their commitment to creating new opportunities for Bathurst extends beyond supporting local business, with a strong focus on delivering events that encourage people to visit, connect and celebrate the region.
The Chamber also acknowledged the support already received from sponsors and community partners who have backed the initiative from its early stages. Their collaboration has played a significant role in turning the vision into reality and ensuring the event can be delivered to the community.
Further details, including event times, entertainment, sponsorship opportunities and viewing locations, will be released over the coming months.
Judging by the enthusiastic response from those attending the June After Hours event, Bathurst residents have every reason to look forward to welcoming 2027 with what promises to become a new annual community tradition at Mount Panorama.
