A packed showroom and a setlist full of well-known hits made for a memorable night when Australian rock band Thirsty Merc performed at Lithgow Workies Club last week.

Fans travelled from across the region to catch the performance, with the venue filling early as concertgoers looked forward to seeing one of Australia’s best-known live acts.

From the moment the band took to the stage, the crowd was engaged, enjoying a mix of classic favourites and high-energy rock songs that have become synonymous with Thirsty Merc over the past two decades.

Led by frontman Rai Thistlethwayte, the band delivered a polished performance featuring many of their biggest hits. There were plenty of singalongs throughout the night, with the audience clearly enjoying the opportunity to hear the songs live.

The atmosphere in the showroom reflected the popularity of both the band and the Workies Club’s live entertainment program. Friends caught up, families enjoyed a night out together, and music lovers made the most of an evening of quality live entertainment close to home.

Lithgow Workies Club has continued to attract well-known Australian artists to the region, giving local audiences the opportunity to experience live music without travelling to larger centres.
