On Sunday, the 12th April, 116 hardy golfers braved the cold and gusty conditions at the Bathurst golf course for the 23rd annual Legacy Golf Day. Despite the less-than-ideal weather, the day was a great success and a lot of fun.
Funds raised for Bathurst Legacy exceeded $10,000. First prize in the four-ball Ambrose competition went to the Glenray team comprising Donovan and Lola Lamb, along with Rhys and Aisha Manners. Sadly, the twenty-thousand-dollar prize for a hole-in-one on the 13th hole could not be claimed, but Don Lamb won the nearest to the pin prize, hitting a ball that landed only 103 centimetres from the pin.
Legacy would like to pass on a special thank you to all our major sponsors: Bathurst Golf Club, Bathurst RSL, Simplot, Smith & Co Locksmiths, Downer, Tablelands Builders, Glenray, Dawson’s Removals, Bathurst Physiotherapy, Panorama Cruise & Travel, Steele+Co, Dental on Keppal, Bathurst Building Maintenance, Clancy Motor Group, and our local member, The Honorable Paul Toole. Without their collective support, this day would be so much less.
