Businesses from Bathurst and Oberon were among the standout winners at the 2026 Business NSW Western Region Awards, held in Orange on Friday, May 15, with local organisations and business leaders recognised across a range of categories.
Bathurst-based Skillset claimed the Excellence in Large Business Award, while the organisation’s Narelle Stocks was named Outstanding Business Leader for businesses with more than 21 employees.
Oberon’s Active Living OT celebrated success after taking out the Outstanding New Business Award, highlighting the strength of emerging businesses across the region.
Bathurst organisation Vivability was also recognised with two major wins, securing both the Outstanding Community Organisation Award and the Diversity and Inclusion Award.
In the Outstanding Business Leader category for businesses with 20 employees and under, Bathurst solicitor Andrew Kelly from Kenny Spring Solicitors was honoured for his leadership and contribution to the local business community.
Bathurst’s Macquarie Medi Spa rounded out the local winners, taking home the Employer of Choice Award for businesses with 20 employees and under.
The evening’s overall Business of the Year title went to Orange-based Green Timber Technology, which also won the Excellence in Innovation and Excellence in Sustainability awards. The company’s Pete Morrison was additionally recognised as an Outstanding Young Business Leader.
The awards celebrated the innovation, resilience and leadership of businesses across Western NSW, with local winners now progressing as strong representatives of the Central West business community.
