Music lovers are in for a treat this April, with the Macquarie Male Singers set to take to the stage for a special afternoon concert celebrating more than three decades of music in Bathurst.
The concert will be held on Sunday, 12 April at 2 pm at the Catholic Parish Centre, adjacent to the Cathedral on the corner of Keppel and William Streets. With easy access and ample parking, it’s an inviting venue for what promises to be an enjoyable, relaxed community event. Guests can also arrive early and take advantage of Café Viva, which will be open for light refreshments prior to the performance.
Under the direction of new Musical Director Greg Jones, the Macquarie Male Singers will present a one-and-a-half-hour program featuring a selection of well-loved songs from their extensive repertoire. The group has long been a valued part of Bathurst’s musical landscape, having been founded in 1994 by Roland Augussak OAM. Now, more than 30 years on, the choir continues to bring people together through a shared love of music and performance.
This concert offers an opportunity not only to enjoy an afternoon of high-quality live music but also to celebrate the group’s enduring contribution to the local arts scene over the years.
Tickets will be available at the door, with both cash and card accepted. Entry is $15 for adults, $10 for concession card holders, and free for children under 12.
Mark the date in your diary and come along to support this much-loved local group as they celebrate an impressive milestone in true musical style.
