The Bathurst Combined Probus Club has confirmed its leadership team for the year ahead following its recent Annual General Meeting, with a blend of continuity and new faces shaping the 2026/27 Management Committee.
During the meeting, members re-elected the President, Treasurer and Secretary for a further 12 months, along with two Hospitality Hosts and a general committee representative. The outcome provides stability for the club as it prepares for a significant year.
At the same time, several members have stepped into leadership roles for the first time. Four new committee members were elected, taking on positions including Welfare Officers, Membership Officer and a general committee role, while another member was appointed Vice President.
The refreshed committee arrives as Probus celebrates its 50th anniversary in 2026, marking five decades of supporting retirees and semi-retirees through connection, friendship and shared experiences.
The Bathurst Combined Probus Club continues to offer a varied calendar of activities designed to keep members engaged and socially active. Regular monthly meetings feature guest speakers, while excursions, pub lunches and breakfast gatherings provide additional opportunities for members to connect.
Club President Lesley Worthington said the organisation remains focused on fostering a welcoming and inclusive environment for its members, particularly as it enters this milestone year.
The club meets on the third Tuesday of each month at Panthers Club on Piper Street, Bathurst. Those interested in joining or learning more about the organisation are encouraged to make contact via the Membership Officer at members.bcpc@gmail.com.
With a strong committee in place and a landmark anniversary to celebrate, the year ahead is shaping as an important one for the long-standing community group.
