Oberon Business & Tourism Awards Return for 2026

The Oberon Business & Tourism Awards will return in 2026, with the evening confirmed for Friday, 4 September at the Oberon RSL Club.

The awards recognise the contribution of local businesses, tourism operators and individuals across the Oberon Local Government Area, highlighting the important role they play in supporting jobs, services and the broader local economy. They also provide an opportunity to acknowledge the work being done to strengthen Oberon’s visitor economy, with many local operators contributing to the region’s growing appeal as a destination.

Nominations are expected to open later this month, with further details to be released shortly. Community members will be encouraged to nominate businesses and individuals across a range of categories, providing an opportunity to formally acknowledge strong service, innovation and commitment at a local level. It is also a chance for customers and the wider community to show their support for the businesses they value and interact with every day.

Importantly, the awards are open to the entire LGA, not just the Oberon CBD, and you do not need to be a member of the Oberon Business and Tourism Association to submit a nomination. Businesses and organisations from surrounding villages are strongly encouraged to participate, ensuring the awards reflect the full scope of economic and community activity across the region.

President Tatiana Coulter said the awards are an important opportunity to recognise the efforts of local operators across all sectors. “We encourage everyone across Oberon and our villages to get involved by nominating a business or individual they believe is making a real contribution. These awards are about celebrating local people and the role they play in keeping our community strong,” she said.

Winners of the local awards will also have the opportunity to progress to the regional level through the Business NSW Business Awards program. These awards recognise excellence across regional New South Wales, with successful entrants advancing to represent their communities at a broader level and, ultimately, at the State Business Awards.

The gala night will bring together the local business community, industry representatives and supporters for an evening focused on recognition, connection and celebrating local achievement, while also providing valuable opportunities to strengthen networks across the region.
