Laughter is the best was to celebrate International Women’s Day this year in Bathurst.
A night of laughter, inspiration and celebration is coming to Bathurst as Bathurst Women’s Network partners with the Central West Women’s Health Centre, Central West Comedy Club and Bathurst Regional Council to present a special International Women’s Day Comedy night featuring acclaimed comedians Ellen Briggs and Mandy Nolan.
International Women’s Day is a time to honour and celebrate the achievements of women, champion gender equality and build community connections. This year’s celebration in Bathurst does all that with a twist by bringing humour and storytelling to an uplifting night of celebration.
This unique and witty event will be held on Thursday 5 March 2026, from 5:30 pm to 8:30 pm at Keystone and will also feature a keynote address by Bathurst local Maria Woods, Plus Community Director DV and Community Services to speak on this year International Women’s Day theme of “balance the scales”. One in three women will experience a form of violence in their lifetime and as an expert in the field Maria Woods will explain why most will never seek formal help or justice and what we can do as a community to be part of a wider societal change.
Headlining the night are Mandy Nolan and Ellen Briggs, two of Australia’s most respected and celebrated comedians. Together they have toured the country to packed houses sharing relatable stories and heartfelt reflections on women’s lives, family, relationships, ageing and community.
As a united front, we are thrilled to offer our community a celebration of women’s voices and experiences in a format that’s fun, engaging and deeply human.
Tickets are priced at $50 per person which includes nibbles and bubbles on arrival and are available now. This event is proudly supported by Central West Women’s Health Centre, Bathurst Women’s Network, Central West Comedy Club and Bathurst Regional Council. Four organisations committed to community spirit and shared celebration in recognition of International Women’s Day.
