After a five-year hiatus and a triumphant return in 2024, Ironfest is once again set to transform Portland into a hub of creativity, curiosity and community this April.
Ironfest 2026, intriguingly titled ‘Wlonk’, will take over The Foundations across the weekend of Saturday 18 and Sunday 19 April, promising a vibrant celebration of art, history and pop culture. Gates will open from 10 am to 6 pm on Saturday and 10 am to 4 pm on Sunday, with entry set at a $10 donation per person.
In true Ironfest fashion, attendees are encouraged to fully embrace the theme — with one key condition of entry: come ‘wlonk’, dressed up and ready to be part of the spectacle.
Since its revival, Ironfest has re-established itself as one of the region’s most unique and much-loved events. Visitors can expect an eclectic mix of art exhibitions, market stalls, live music and street performances, as well as blacksmithing and live art demonstrations. The weekend also features cosplay and steampunk displays, historical re-enactments, circus acts, automotive showcases and a wide range of educational and technological exhibits.
With more event details to be announced in the coming weeks, anticipation is already building across the Central West for what promises to be another standout weekend in Portland’s events calendar.
Stallholders and performers are invited to connect via the official Ironfest Facebook group, while general enquiries can be directed to the organiser, Mac, at ironfest@lisp.com.au.
Whether you’re a long-time fan or a first-time visitor, Ironfest 2026 is shaping up to be a weekend not to miss.
