Oberon residents are invited to enjoy good company, a shared meal and the opportunity to make new connections when the Oberon Combined Churches Friendship Group hosts its next luncheon on Wednesday, 17 June.
Held under the theme“Love Your Neighbour”, the gathering will take place at the Uniting Church Building from 12 noon and is open to anyone looking to spend time with others in a welcoming and friendly environment.
The Friendship Group has become a valued community initiative, bringing people together for conversation, companionship and support. Organisers say the luncheons provide a wonderful opportunity to meet new people, strengthen existing friendships and create new social connections within the community.
In an increasingly busy world, simple opportunities to sit down, share a meal and enjoy a chat can make a real difference. The monthly gatherings offer a relaxed setting where everyone is welcome, whether they are attending for the first time or are regular participants.
The luncheon costs just a gold coin donation, making it an affordable outing for local residents of all ages.
Recognising that transport can sometimes be a barrier, organisers can also arrange lifts for those who would like to attend but need assistance getting to the venue.
Community members interested in attending or arranging transport are encouraged to contact Janet on 0408 215 541 or Fay on 0427 120 805.
With friendship, conversation, and community spirit on the menu, the upcoming luncheon promises another enjoyable afternoon for Oberon locals looking to connect with others and share in the simple pleasure of good company.
All who will may come.
Draw near to God and He will draw near
To you. James 4:8
