Entries are now open for the 2026 Oberon Forest Rally, with the event set to bring competitors, officials, volunteers and supporters to Black Springs on Saturday 31 October.
Organised by the Australian Motorsport Action Group (AMSAG), the rally will be based at Black Springs Hall, with competitive stages taking place throughout the surrounding Vulcan State Forests.
The event will feature approximately 136 kilometres of competitive stages and 140 kilometres of transport sections, offering competitors a mix of technical, twisting forest roads and faster, flowing sections.
While the competition is the main attraction, the rally also highlights the important role local communities play in supporting regional motorsport events.
The Black Springs community will once again provide catering throughout the day, giving competitors, volunteers and supporters the opportunity to enjoy local hospitality while supporting the village.
Oberon Shire Council has also continued its support of the event, including making Black Springs Hall available as Rally Headquarters.
Event Director Fast Eddy Aitchison has acknowledged the contributions of both the local community and Council, recognising their ongoing involvement in helping bring the event to the region.
Events such as the Oberon Forest Rally also provide opportunities for visitors to discover smaller villages, support local businesses and experience what the Oberon district has to offer.
According to organisers, extensive road improvements undertaken by NSW Forestry have helped prepare the forest stages for this year’s competition.
Temporary closures of designated forest roads will be required during the event, with signage advising of affected areas.
Competitors interested in taking part can register through the WOLF Sports event page at www.amsag.info/26OberonForestRally.
