The picturesque village of Rockley is preparing to welcome visitors from across the region when the annual Rockley Gardens & Art Festival returns on Saturday and Sunday, November 7 and 8.
Just a short drive south of Bathurst, the much-loved event has become a standout on the Central West calendar, drawing garden lovers, art enthusiasts, music fans and day-trippers keen to experience the charm of one of the region’s most historic villages.
This year’s festival will feature nine stunning cold-climate gardens open to the public over the weekend, showcasing the beauty and creativity that thrive in the area during spring.
Rockley’s strong artistic spirit will also be on display, with a professionally curated art exhibition to be held in the historic School of Arts Hall on Hill Street. Visitors can expect a diverse showcase of works celebrating local and regional talent.
Music will once again form part of the festival atmosphere, with performances planned inside Rockley’s historic churches, where the acoustics are expected to provide a memorable backdrop for audiences and performers alike.
Festivalgoers can also enjoy wine tastings, market stalls, plant sales and plenty of food and drink options throughout the weekend, making it an ideal outing for families, friends and visitors exploring the region.
Importantly, organisers say the festival continues to offer exceptional value, with tickets priced at just $15 for access across both days.
The festival’s beautiful hand-drawn poppy artwork this year symbolises the connection between gardens and creativity — two elements that continue to define Rockley’s unique character.
