Residents across the Shire are being encouraged to take the opportunity to have a direct conversation with their elected representatives, with a series of informal community catch-up sessions scheduled in local villages later this month.
The sessions are designed to provide an accessible and relaxed setting for residents to speak with a Councillor, raise local concerns, share ideas and ask questions about issues affecting their community. No bookings are required, with residents invited to simply drop in at a time and location that suits.
Council says the initiative is about strengthening connections between the community and decision-makers, while ensuring local voices are heard in shaping priorities across the region.
The catch-ups will take place at a range of familiar local venues, offering residents a convenient opportunity to join the conversation.
On Thursday, 23 April, sessions will be held at the Village Grocer Carcoar from 12 pm to 2 pm, then at the General Store Mandurama from 2.30 pm to 4.30 pm, and at Lyndhurst Hall from 5 pm to 7 pm.
On Friday, 24 April, residents can meet a Councillor at Ashcroft’s Millthorpe between 9 am and 11 am, then at Rustic Nature Neville from 12 pm to 2 pm, and at the Gladstone Hotel from 3 pm to 5 pm.
Council is encouraging residents from all areas of the Shire to take part, noting that even a brief conversation can help inform future decisions and highlight what matters most at a local level.
For those with questions, ideas or simply a desire to stay informed, the message is simple: come along, say hello, and be part of the conversation.
