Residents across the Blayney Shire will come together on Saturday, 25 April 2026 to mark ANZAC Day, with services planned in Blayney, Millthorpe, Carcoar, Mandurama, Newbridge and Lyndhurst.
The day provides an opportunity for communities to pause, reflect and honour the service and sacrifice of Australian and New Zealand servicemen and women, past and present. Across the region, dawn services, marches and commemorative gatherings will be held, continuing a long-standing tradition of remembrance.
In Blayney, the Dawn Service will be held at Carrington Park at 6 am, followed by the ANZAC March at 11 am, proceeding from the Post Office to Carrington Park for the main service.
Millthorpe will host its service and march from 7.30 am, beginning on Victoria Street and moving to Redmond Oval, where the community will gather for the commemorative service.
In Carcoar, residents and visitors are invited to attend the 9 am service and march, starting from Icely Street and concluding at the memorial.
Mandurama’s service will commence at 10 am at the World War I Memorial Hall, providing a central place for reflection within the village.
At Newbridge, the service will begin at 11 am at the Newbridge Showground, while in Lyndhurst, the service and march will also commence at 11 am, starting from the local hotel and proceeding to the Memorial Hall.
Community members are encouraged to attend their local service, stand together in quiet reflection, and pay their respects. ANZAC Day remains one of the most significant dates on the national calendar, and across the Central West, the enduring spirit of remembrance continues to be shared across generations.
