The Oberon Garden Club’s annual Autumn Colour Garden Showcase returned across Saturday 18 and Sunday 19 April, delivering a memorable weekend that celebrated the region’s seasonal beauty at its finest.
A selection of private gardens opened to the public, each offering a distinct interpretation of autumn in Oberon. From established landscapes to more contemporary plantings, the showcase reflected both the district’s diversity and the dedication of those who care for these spaces year-round.
Visitors were welcomed into each garden with warmth and generosity, with many owners sharing their knowledge and experiences of gardening in Oberon’s unique climate. The weekend also highlighted the strong sense of community behind the event, with volunteers working quietly behind the scenes to ensure everything ran smoothly.
The timing could not have been better, with classic autumn conditions providing an ideal backdrop. Clear skies, crisp air and vibrant foliage combined to create what could only be described as a picture-perfect setting.
The Oberon Garden Club has extended its sincere thanks to the garden owners who opened their gates, the volunteers who supported the event, and the visitors who made the effort to attend and be part of the weekend.
Beyond the gardens themselves, the showcase once again reinforced the value of local events in bringing people together and encouraging visitors to experience the region more broadly.
With another successful year complete, the Autumn Colour Garden Showcase continues to hold its place as a highlight on Oberon’s community calendar.
