T.Arts Welcomes April Artist of the Month Catherine Scheumack

T.Arts Gallery is excited to host Catherine Scheumack as Artist of the Month for April 2026. Her paintings are beautiful, and this small exhibition will be well worth a look, and you may even be tempted to buy a work to keep.

Come to the Tea and Talks at T.Arts Gallery 75 Keppel St Bathurst from 2.30 to 4.00 pm on the 18th April for some delicious food and to hear her interesting journey of a life with art.

Originally from the U.K., Catherine studied art and design for several years in Sussex and then London.  She moved to Australia in 1964 and attained a Printmaking Diploma at Hornsby TAFE. Catherine has exhibited widely in the Central Coast, Central West and metropolitan areas.

Moving to Bathurst in 2001, Catherine conducted art classes for adults and children at Pigments and Palettes, and painting, drawing and mixed media at U3A.  Catherine was president of BRAGS for several years and has work included in Bathurst Regional Gallery’s permanent collection. 

Working principally in oils and mixed media, her subject matter is mainly landscape, still life and family dogs.  Her favourite painters include Camille Pissaro, Henri Matisse and Paul Cezanne.
