Lithgow Seniors Festival Concert Brings Colour, Community and Celebration to the Region

Lithgow is set to shine in full colour this March as the Lithgow Seniors Festival Concert returns as part of the NSW Seniors Festival, proudly embracing this year’s theme, Live Your Life in Colour. Designed especially for seniors, the festival offers a vibrant program of performances, workshops and social events that celebrate connection, creativity and community spirit across the region.

At the heart of the festival is the joyful and sparkly Seniors Festival Concert, showcasing an impressive lineup of local performers and community groups. From music and movement to laughter and shared moments, the concert promises an uplifting atmosphere that highlights the extraordinary talent and enthusiasm found right here in Lithgow and surrounding towns.

The festival officially launches on Monday 2 March with a special concert at the Union Theatre from 2pm to 4pm, setting the tone for a packed fortnight of activities. Seniors can ease into the week with Gentle Groove at LINC (1 Padley Street) on Tuesday 3 March at 10am, followed by a practical Technology Workshop at Lithgow Library on Wednesday 4 March at 10.30am, helping participants navigate tech questions and Services NSW support.

Social connection continues with the Free Seniors Café at LINC on Thursday 4 March at 12pm, and the Seniors Health Expo at Lithgow Workies Club on Friday 6 March from 9am to 3pm, offering information, services and wellbeing support in one convenient location.

Music lovers can join the Sing A Long at Wallerawang Library on Tuesday 10 March at 10.30am, while creative minds are invited to explore their artistic side at the Creatives Class at Lithgow Library on Thursday 12 March at 10.30am. The celebrations continue with a glamorous Cocktail Party at Treeview Estate on Friday 13 March from 4pm to 7pm, with bookings essential.

The festival’s next concert will be held at the Crystal Theatre in Portland on Saturday 14 March from 2pm to 4pm, before concluding with the colourful and inclusive Queer Garden Party at Eskbank House on Sunday 15 March from 1pm to 3pm.

The festival is proudly hosted by Lithgow City Council, with support from LINC, Rainbow Lithgow and Treeview Estates. Tickets are available via the QR code on festival materials, through Humantix, or by contacting Lithgow City Council directly.
