The Macquarie Male Singers will celebrate more than 30 years of music in Bathurst with a special concert on Sunday, 12 April.
The performance will begin at 2 pm at the Catholic Parish Centre, adjacent to the Cathedral on the corner of Keppel and William Streets. The venue offers easy access and ample parking for attendees.
Founded in 1994 by Roland Augussak OAM, the choir has been a consistent presence in the local arts scene, performing a wide range of music for community audiences across the region.
Now under the direction of new Musical Director Greg Jones, the group will present a program of popular songs drawn from its extensive repertoire. The concert will include favourites from classic theatre productions of the 1930s through to more recent well-known pieces, offering something for all ages.
Running for approximately 90 minutes, the performance marks a milestone for the choir and an opportunity for the community to celebrate its long-standing contribution to Bathurst’s musical life.
Tickets will be available at the door, with both cash and card accepted. Entry is $15 for adults, $10 for concession card holders, and free for children under 12.
The Macquarie Male Singers are inviting the community to come along and support local music while marking this significant anniversary.
