We are hoping that Welsh people, people of Welsh descent or anyone interested in the National Day of Wales, held on March 1, but we are celebrating on March 3, will come and enjoy Welsh food, music and culture.
We have a local harpist, Bethany Carter-Sherlock who will be playing Welsh music and there will be an opportunity to hear some Welsh songs and for people to join in. There will be some people in Welsh costume, and food with a Welsh heritage and flavour such as Bara Brith (a fruit loaf), Welsh cakes, leek and cheese tarts, lamb pies and sausage rolls and Welsh cheeses.
The celebration is from 5pm, when the club has Happy Hour and entry is by donation.
