Primavera has once again proven the generosity of the Bathurst community, with this year’s Gala Dinner and Art Auction raising just over $16,000 in support of Bathurst Regional Art Gallery.
Held at the beautiful BoxGrove Country Retreat, the evening brought together supporters of the arts, local businesses, artists and community members for a night of good food, great company and plenty of spirited bidding.
The evening was hosted by Master of Ceremonies Stuart Pearson, with James Rich from Elders Emms Mooney leading the auction and plenty of competition in the room as guests put their hands up to support the cause.
President Ingrid Pearson welcomed guests and said the Society was delighted with the result, which was the second-highest amount raised from a single event in the past five years.
It was an impressive achievement, particularly in the current economic climate, and reflected the generosity of the artists who donated works for auction, local businesses providing in-kind support and the private donors who joined businesses in providing raffle prizes.
The Society has thanked everyone who attended, donated, contributed or helped make Primavera another successful community event.
And for those who enjoyed the evening, the date is already set for next year – Primavera Gala Dinner and Art Auction will return to BoxGrove Country Retreat on Saturday, 28 August 2027.
