Small business owners across the region are being offered a timely opportunity to sharpen their online presence, with a free Lunch & Learn session in Lithgow focused on the basics of getting found on Google.
Hosted by RDA Central West, “Get Found on Google: SEO Basics for Small Business” aims to strip away the confusion around search engine optimisation (SEO) and deliver clear, practical advice that can be put to work immediately.
Designed with small businesses in mind, the session promises a no-jargon approach to understanding how Google works — and what it actually takes to show up in search results. Attendees will walk away with a better grasp of what SEO is, the three key things Google looks for in a website, and how to choose the right keywords to attract customers.
The workshop will also cover why website structure affects rankings, showcase real examples of local businesses that do it well, and outline five simple actions business owners can implement straight away to improve their online visibility
.
Leading the session is Steve Bigg, founder of Out West Online. Based in Orange, Mr Bigg has spent more than a decade helping regional businesses strengthen their digital presence, working with over 200 clients to improve websites, SEO performance and online marketing strategies.
The session will be held on Tuesday, 17 June at the Lithgow Library Mezzanine Area. Entry is free, with light refreshments provided, although attendees are encouraged to bring their own lunch.
