The 2026 Bathurst Gardeners’ Club (BGC) Spring Spectacular will be held over the weekend of Saturday, 31st October and Sunday, 1st November.
Eight gardens will be open to the public. Seven of the gardens are brand new to the BGC Spring Spectacular. All of the gardens reflect the passions of the garden owners, whether that be providing produce, creating a restful retreat, preserving places of historical significance and/or nurturing a space to express artistic whimsy.
BGC members have been busy propagating plants for the famous Monster Plant Stall. This will be held on Saturday, 31st October only, in the park adjacent to the Visitor Information Centre from 9 am to 4 pm. Grab a living souvenir, grown for local conditions, of a great weekend. The Dahlia Society of NSW and ACT stall is returning this year.
Local musicians and students of the Mitchell Conservatorium will add another sensory delight by providing music in the gardens. Refreshments and stalls will be available in some gardens.
Be sure to visit Bathurst U3A’s Bonsai Display at the Church Block Cafe in Eglinton. Entry is free.
Tickets to visit the gardens are $25 per person (you are welcome to spread your garden visits over the weekend) and can be purchased online through 123Tix or the BGC website. If you choose to visit only some of the gardens, you can pay an $8 entry fee per person, per garden, at the garden (cash only). Children aged 16 and younger are admitted at no cost.
More information, including photos and descriptions of the gardens, is available on the BGC website. The music program and maps with addresses will be available in October. Also, check out the Facebook page.
Thank you to the wonderful sponsors supporting the BGC in raising funds for local organisations.
