Bathurst Turns Pink for a Cause

Bathurst’s Riverside Market is getting a colourful makeover this October, with the community encouraged to Pink Up and help raise funds for a very worthy cause.

The Lions Club of Mount Panorama Inc is warmly inviting locals to pull out their best pink shirts, hats, frocks – or perhaps even a full head-to-toe pink ensemble – and head along to the Riverside Market at Berry Park, Lions Drive, Bathurst on Saturday 3 October.

It promises to be another great day at the popular community market, but this time with an important splash of pink and a fundraising focus. 100 per cent of donations received at the entrance will be donated to the McGrath Foundation, giving everyone who comes through the gates an opportunity to contribute while enjoying everything the Riverside Market has to offer.

“The members of the Lions Club of Mount Panorama Inc warmly invite the Bathurst community to join us at the October Riverside Market,” the Club said.

“Come along dressed in pink and help us support this wonderful cause while enjoying a great day at the markets. Together we can make a difference.”

The Pink Up Riverside Market is another wonderful example of local community groups using an already popular event to bring people together while supporting something bigger.

So, mark Saturday 3 October on the calendar, gather the family and friends and start planning your pinkest possible outfit. Whether it is a subtle pink accessory or something that can be spotted from the other side of Berry Park, every splash of colour will help show support.

Head along, enjoy a day at the Riverside Market, make a donation at the entrance and help Bathurst Pink Up for a cause!
