THIS WEEKEND!! Sheep, Utes & Country Fun – Burraga is Gearing Up for a Big One!

If you’re looking for a great family day out with plenty of country spirit – and a healthy dose of horsepower thrown in – Burraga is the place to be on Sunday 30 August!

The 66th Annual Burraga Sheep Show & Country Fair is shaping up to be a cracker, bringing together everything we love about a genuine country show – sheep, working dogs, local displays, classic cars, family entertainment and a community that knows how to put on a great day.

Proudly volunteer-run, the Burraga Show has been celebrating agriculture and country traditions for 66 years, and there will be plenty happening across the grounds for young and old. Expect sheep competitions, yard dog trials, pavilion and craft displays, the crowd-favourite Dog High Jump, classic cars and plenty of family fun, before live music carries the festivities into the evening.

But this year, there’s a little extra rumble coming to Burraga.

For the first time, the show will host the Inaugural Burraga Ute Show – and this one is calling all rev-heads, 4×4 fanatics, farmers, tradies and anyone who reckons their ute deserves its moment in the spotlight.

Whether it’s polished within an inch of its life, covered in stickers, flying more flags than anyone can count or still wearing half the paddock, there’s a category for it.

Ten classes include Best Chicks Ute, Best Blokes Ute, Best 4×4, Best Farm/Work Ute, Best Feral Ute, Best Local Ute, Furthest Travelled, Most Flags, Most Stickers and Cleanest Ute, with judging from 1pm and some seriously good prizes up for grabs.

Entry is only $5 per category, so bring the ute, bring the kids and bring your mates.

Country tradition, family fun and plenty of horsepower – Burraga is going big for number 66!
