Parents and carers from across Bathurst’s Catholic school community are being invited to a free parenting seminar featuring renowned Australian parenting expert Michelle Mitchell.
The event is a joint initiative of the St Philomena’s P&F Committee, Holy Family P&F Committee, MacKillop College and St Stanislaus’ College, reflecting a shared commitment to supporting families and the wellbeing of young people.
The seminar will be held at the St Stanislaus’ College Performing Arts Centre on Tuesday, 23 June, from 6pm, with doors opening at 5.30pm.
Michelle Mitchell is a respected speaker, author and educator who has spent more than 20 years working with young people and families. Known for her practical, evidence-based approach, she will share insights into the challenges facing children and teenagers, while offering strategies to build resilience, strengthen family relationships and support positive mental health.
Event organiser Rebecca Mathie said the partnership had enabled local Catholic schools to provide families with access to high-quality parenting support at no cost.
“By working together, we are able to bring a speaker of Michelle’s calibre to Bathurst and help equip parents with practical tools to support their children,” Ms Mathie said.
The event is exclusively available to parents and carers of students enrolled within the Catholic School Community in Bathurst. Lucky door prizes will be on offer and Michelle’s books will also be available for purchase.
