A spectacular fireworks display, crackling bonfire and a Powerhouse packed with market stalls will headline this year’s Twilight Market at The Foundations in Portland, located on Williwa Street, this Saturday, June 4.
Running from 4 pm to 9 pm throughout The Foundations precinct, the popular annual event promises a fun-filled evening for locals and visitors alike during the King’s Long Weekend.
Visitors can browse a vibrant marketplace featuring artisan makers, local producers and businesses, while enjoying a wide range of food stalls offering everything from hearty meals to sweet treats.
As the evening cools down, families and friends can gather around the nostalgic epic bonfire, which will see the local Fire & Rescue crew keeping a watchful eye over. The winter atmosphere will continue to build ahead of the evening’s fireworks spectacular by Howards & Sons, which will light up the Portland sky from 7 pm.
The fireworks display is proudly sponsored by Greenspot at Wallerawang, the Portland Business Association and The Foundations Portland.
The popular Zig Zag Brewery will also be open throughout the event, serving its much-loved warm mulled wine and house special, its mulled ginger beer — perfect for a chilly winter evening.
Adding to the festive atmosphere, local musician Sam Bucca will perform live throughout the night, providing entertainment as visitors explore the markets, catch up with friends and enjoy the unique surroundings of The Foundations.
Organisers are encouraging locals and visitors from across the region to make the most of the long weekend and experience one of Portland’s favourite community events.
