Now Licensed with Brewery Pop-Up, Bonfire, Fireworks and Live Music
The Twilight Markets return to The Foundations on Saturday 7 June 2025 for the June long weekend, with a packed evening of food, stalls, music, and – for the first time – a licensed bar thanks to a Pop-Up Pouring from Zig Zag Brewery.
Running from 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM, the market will feature more than 60 stallholders, food trucks, craft beer, live entertainment, a giant bonfire, and a professional fireworks display — all set inside the iconic industrial surrounds of the former Portland Cement Works.
One of the night’s biggest attractions will be the bonfire, lit at 5:30 PM by the Portland Fire and Rescue team. It’s become a favourite tradition at The Foundations’ winter events, drawing big crowds and adding to the evening’s cosy, festive feel.
Then at 7:00 PM, the skies above Portland will light up with a fireworks display by Howard & Sons Pyrotechnics, one of Australia’s most recognised names in fireworks. The show promises a high-impact, family-friendly finale to the night’s celebrations.
This event also marks the first licensed Twilight Market at The Foundations. Zig Zag Brewery, who are establishing a permanent venue on-site, will be opening their brewery doors early to pour a selection of their award-winning beers, giving attendees a sneak peek of what’s to come.
“We’re really proud to host our first licensed event with Zig Zag Brewery involved,” said Event Coordinator Rich Evans. “It’s exciting to see so many local businesses, artists and community groups pulling together to make this a huge night for Portland.”
Throughout the evening, visitors can enjoy live music from local performer Chris Bettison, who’ll be performing a mix of acoustic covers to create the perfect backdrop for a relaxed night out.
Stallholders from across the Central West will be showcasing handmade goods, fresh produce, artisan products, gifts, fashion and more. There’ll be hot food and drinks available, including coffee, desserts and winter warmers.
The event is made possible thanks to the generous support of EnergyAustralia, Lithgow City Council, and the Portland Business Association, who are backing local events that bring life to the town and support local jobs and tourism.
