Top Duck Crowned

The Rotary Club of Bathurst held their annual Duck Race on the 24 October.

As the Macquarie River was flowing too fast and was significantly deeper than previous years, a new location was chosen at the last minute for the safety of the Rotarians.

The race was run at Queen Charlottes Vale Creek on the northern side of Torpy’s Bridge.  It had less flow and was much safer for the Rotarians who have to get in the water. There is also an area for spectators to stand whilst social distancing.

The event was well supported by the local business community with 51 ducks entered in the race.

The winners on the day were

1st Place: Dawsons Removals

2nd Place: Central West Foot & Ankle

3rd Place: Reliance Bank

4th Place: Regis Resources

Jeff Muir, President of the Rotary Club of Bathurst and Steve Semmens, Duck Coordinator and Major Sponsor have now presented the Top Duck of Bathurst trophies to Peter Dawson, Managing Director of Dawson’s Removals.

Peter also won $1000 of advertising from 2BS Gold, $1000 advertising from the Village Voice, and $2000 worth of Coaching from The Persuader.
