During the week, Mount Panorama Lions Club made a donation to Bathurst Uniting Support Services (BUSS).
BUSS is a local support network run through the Uniting Church in Bathurst, which runs programs to assist people who are homeless, poor, socially isolated, and those with addictions in our local community. The programs aim to improve the lives of participants and assist and support them to make better and more responsible life choices.
Regular activities and services are provided, so anyone feeling they may be in a position to become involved as a volunteer would be most welcome. Anyone feeling this service may be of help to them is also encouraged to join the program.
Retired chaplain Julie Fry is a regular volunteer at BUSS, and is pictured receiving a cheque from Mount Panorama Lions Club President Sally Coopes and Lion Jon Maclean.
