How Spring into Art at Newbridge comes to life

Spring into Art at Newbridge: Big Phatt Jazz Band.

The creative arts are well represented in Newbridge, with businesses such as the Olde Bridge Gallery, Stringybark Craft & Collectables, Hog Bristle Studio and Metal as Anything; as well as the Newbridge Art Group Space (NAGS), Camera Club, Crotchetty Knitters, and an emerging group of ceramic artists.

Many residents are involved with more than one entity, and many group members come from much further afield. Spring into Art at Newbridge was conceived through a determination on the part of the NAGS and the Camera Club members to start an art show; and has grown to become a celebration of many of the creative arts.

Organisers are deeply grateful to the businesses, organisations and individuals whose sponsorship makes the event possible. Sponsor contributions help meet the practical costs of presenting a welcoming, high-quality event; creating opportunities for artists, and encouraging visitors to experience Newbridge and its surrounds. This backing also helps promote local culture and supports the objective of a self-sustaining regional tourism event.

The sponsors do far more than help fund an event, though. Their support gives local ideas room to grow, helps artists share their work with new audiences, and creates an occasion that everyone can enjoy. In such a small community sponsorship is never faceless but, rather, deeply personal.

Sponsors contributing either financial or inkind support for Spring into Art at Newbridge in 2026 include the Arts OutWest Cultural Fund, Bathurst Panorama Chorus, Blayney Shire Council, Blue Attribute, Bunnamagoo, Carina Chambers Creative, Central West Village Voice, Cunninghams – The Law Practice, Elevate Remedial Massage, The Gladstone Hotel, Grass parrot Vineyard, H2ORx, Le Reve, Megan Rowlands Business Management Services, Mitchell Conservatorium, NAGS, Newbridge Schoolhouse, Newmans, Newmont Orange 360 Regional Tourism Event Fund, Orange Regional Conservatorium, Slow Wine Co and Woondooma.

Tickets to The Great American Songbook opening night concert; and art, photography and music stagecraft workshops are available at www.newbridgeartshow.com. The deadline for art show entries has been extended to Tuesday, October 6, providing artists the coming long weekend – and no more excuses -to finalise their entries.
