Burraga Puts on a Cracking Country Show

There was plenty of country spirit, a few shiny utes and no shortage of good old-fashioned fun when Burraga hosted its Sheep Show and inaugural Ute Muster last Saturday.

The community turned out to support the event, with the traditional Sheep Show sitting comfortably alongside the new Ute Muster – bringing together everything from agriculture and livestock to polished rigs and proud rev-heads.

It was a great day for families, locals and visitors, and another reminder that some of the best events are found in our smaller villages, where everyone pitches in and has a go.

Of course, days like this simply don’t happen without volunteers.

A huge thank you must go to the Burraga Sheep Show committee and the many volunteers who gave their time before, during and after the event. From organising entries and setting up, to cooking, serving, cleaning, answering questions and tackling the hundred little jobs that nobody sees – your efforts made the day possible.

Thanks also to the competitors, exhibitors, sponsors, stallholders and everyone who made the trip to Burraga and supported the event.

The inaugural Ute Muster certainly added a bit of extra horsepower to proceedings – and judging by Saturday’s effort, Burraga knows how to put on a cracking country day!
