Bathurst Folk Club is preparing for a very special evening of music this September, welcoming acclaimed singer-songwriter Kavisha Mazzella AM to Jack Duggans Pub on Wednesday 16th September.
Taking to the stage from 7.30pm, Kavisha brings with her an extraordinary musical career shaped by culture, storytelling and a lifelong love of folk music.
Born in the UK to Italian and Anglo-Burmese parents before migrating to Australia at an early age, Kavisha’s music reflects her rich cultural heritage and her deep appreciation for the diversity of the Australian story.
A former Port Fairy Folk Festival Artist of the Year and ARIA Award winner, Kavisha has been a much-loved part of Australia’s folk music scene since the 1990s. In 2024, she was recognised with the Australian Folk Alliance Lifetime Achievement Award, adding to an impressive list of honours which also includes being appointed a Member of the Order of Australia.

Supporting Kavisha on the night will be The Skinks, returning to Bathurst Folk after making quite an impression on their previous visit. The duo brings something genuinely different to the stage, combining Eastern musical influences with clever improvisation for a performance that really needs to be experienced in person.
At just $20 entry, this promises to be an incredible night of live music and one well worth putting in the diary.
There will be no floor spots on the evening, with the focus firmly on two very special performances.
