A High Tea with a Heartfelt Purpose

Bathurst View Club’s Literary High Tea proves that a wonderful afternoon can also make a lasting difference.

There are few things better than bringing people together for a good cause, and Bathurst View Club’s recent Literary High Tea proved just how generous and supportive our community can be.

Held at the beautiful Keystone 1889, the event was a resounding success, combining an enjoyable afternoon of books, conversation, delicious high tea and friendship with an important fundraising purpose.

Guests came together not only to enjoy the occasion, but to support the Bathurst View Club’s ongoing commitment to helping disadvantaged Australian children through The Smith Family’s Learning for Life program.

The Smith Family works to overcome educational disadvantage, supporting children and young people so they can stay engaged with their education and have the opportunity to build a better future. It is a cause that sits at the heart of the work undertaken by View Clubs across Australia.

View Clubs are proud to support The Smith Family through fundraising and sponsorship, and the Bathurst View Club is delighted to play its part. Funds raised locally help provide children with vital educational support, helping to give them opportunities that might otherwise be out of reach.

The success of the Literary High Tea was a wonderful reflection of the generosity of the Bathurst community. Guests enthusiastically supported the raffle, purchased tickets and contributed to the fundraising efforts, while local businesses generously donated prizes and helped make the day possible.

Every raffle ticket purchased represented more than a chance to win a wonderful prize. It was a small contribution towards helping a child remain engaged with their education and work towards a brighter future.

We extend our sincere thanks to everyone who attended and supported the event, to the businesses that so generously donated prizes, and to all those who worked behind the scenes to make the afternoon such a success.

Most importantly, we thank our community for once again demonstrating that generosity can make a real difference.

The Literary High Tea may have been an afternoon of books, friendship and high tea, but its true success will be measured in the opportunities it helps create for young Australians.

That is something worth raising a teacup to.
