Bathurst Winter Festival Returns Bigger and Better Than Ever

Bathurst is set to embrace the magic of winter once again, with the highly anticipated Bathurst Showground Winter Festival returning from 4–19 July, promising even more family fun, entertainment and community spirit than ever before.

Following the success of previous years, organisers have expanded the festival experience, delivering additional attractions, more market stalls, extra rides and an exciting program of entertainment designed to appeal to visitors of all ages.

The popular ice-skating rink will once again take centre stage, giving locals and visitors the opportunity to glide across the ice and enjoy a true winter experience in the heart of Bathurst. Organisers are encouraging families to book early, with skating sessions expected to sell out on several dates throughout the festival.

Alongside the ice rink, festival-goers can look forward to an impressive range of attractions, including carnival rides, a double-decker European carousel, unicorn pony rides, showbags, food trucks and market stalls. Visitors will also be able to enjoy hot chocolates, winter treats and a variety of festival favourites while exploring the grounds.

Live entertainment will feature throughout the event, with music, performances and line dancing helping to create a vibrant atmosphere across the two-week festival. Families can spend the day browsing stalls, enjoying the rides, and taking in the festive winter atmosphere without the added expense of an entry fee, as admission remains free for all visitors.

One of the major highlights of this year’s festival will be the spectacular Fireworks Firecracker Night, expected to draw large crowds and deliver a dazzling winter display for the community to enjoy.

Organisers say the festival is about more than just entertainment, providing an opportunity for families, friends and visitors to come together and celebrate the winter season while supporting local businesses, stallholders and community participation.

With more rides, more attractions, more community involvement and more opportunities to create lasting memories, the 2026 Bathurst Showground Winter Festival is shaping up to be the biggest and best yet.

The Bathurst Showground Winter Festival runs from 4–19 July at Bathurst Showground. Entry is free, ice-skating sessions require tickets, and bookings are strongly recommended due to limited availability. Book now at https://tickets.icerinksaust.com.au/events/profile/ice-rinks-australia-bathurst
