If you’re looking for a relaxed and welcoming way to spend part of the long weekend, Walk ’n’ Talk for Life Lithgow is inviting community members to come together for a morning of connection, conversation and companionship.
The free community event will be held on Saturday, June 6, at Blast Furnace Park, with participants gathering from 9.30 am for a gentle walk followed by morning tea and a light BBQ lunch.
Walk ’n’ Talk for Life aims to create a supportive environment where people can meet new friends, share stories and enjoy meaningful conversations in a relaxed outdoor setting. Whether attending alone or with family and friends, everyone is welcome.
Organisers say sometimes the simple things – fresh air, a friendly face and a casual chat – can make a real difference to someone’s day.
Adding a creative touch to the morning, local artist Geoff will also be on hand to lead a fun and interactive exploration of colour, giving participants the chance to express themselves and enjoy a different kind of community connection.
The event is about bringing people together, encouraging social connection and reminding people that support can often begin with a simple conversation.
So why not take a stroll, enjoy a cuppa and meet some new faces this long weekend? After all, no one should have to walk alone.
