Strong Turnout for Sculptures by the Bush as Event Nears Close

Blayney’s Sculptures by the Bush has again proven a standout on the regional events calendar, drawing steady crowds and strong community support throughout April.

Set against the backdrop of local landscapes and village settings, the exhibition has showcased an impressive collection of works from artists across the region and beyond. Visitors have taken the opportunity to explore the trail at their own pace, with many making a day of it by combining art, local hospitality, and time outdoors.

Now in its final days, organisers report another successful year, with consistent visitation and positive feedback from both artists and attendees. The event has continued to build on its reputation as an accessible and engaging arts experience, appealing to seasoned collectors as well as those simply curious to explore something different.

Importantly, community participation has once again played a central role. The People’s Choice voting component attracted strong interest, giving visitors the chance to have their say on their favourite works. Voting has now officially closed, with anticipation building ahead of the announcement of this year’s winners.

There is a sense of momentum around the event, not only for the calibre of artwork on display but for the way it brings people into the region and encourages them to spend time across Blayney and its surrounding villages.

For those yet to visit, there is still a short window remaining. Sculptures by the Bush closes for public viewing on Sunday, 26 April.

As the exhibition draws to a close, attention now turns to the judging outcomes, with artists, organisers and the wider community waiting with interest to see which pieces will be recognised in this year’s awards.
