The Bathurst Business Chamber has confirmed key dates for the 2026 Bathurst Business Awards, with entries and nominations set to open on 20 May.
Now a cornerstone of the local business calendar and coinciding with Bathurst Regional Council’s Biz-Month events, the awards will again recognise excellence, innovation and leadership across the region, with organisers announcing an expanded program featuring 22 categories this year. Several new categories have been introduced to better reflect the diversity of businesses operating across Bathurst and surrounding communities.
Both Business Awards entries and People’s Choice nominations will open on 20 May and close on 31 July. Judging and public voting will then run concurrently from 1 August through to 18 August, before finalists are celebrated at the gala presentation evening at the Bathurst Goldfields on 5 September.
The official launch will take place at the Bathurst Business Chamber’s May “After Hours” networking event on 19 May from 5.30 pm at Rydges Mount Panorama Bathurst. Special guest is BusinessNSW’s Regional Director, Vicki Seccombe, who will provide guidance on the application process and outline updates for this year’s program.
Bathurst Business Chamber President Vicki Wilson said the awards continue to play an important role in recognising the strength of the local business community.
“The Bathurst Business Awards are an opportunity to celebrate the people and businesses who contribute so much to our region,” she said. “Each year we see an incredible standard of entries, and with new categories in 2026, we’re looking forward to showcasing even more of the innovation and resilience that exists across our business community.”
Ms Wilson also acknowledged the ongoing support of sponsors, including the major sponsor Kelso Electrical, as well as a growing group of returning and new partners.
“Without the support of our sponsors, this event simply wouldn’t be possible,” she said.
The Chamber has encouraged both members and non-members to get involved, noting a refreshed Board and a renewed focus on delivering meaningful opportunities for connection and growth.
Further details, including category information and registration for the launch event, will be available via the Chamber’s website from 20 May.
