Westfund Lithgow Show Set to Deliver Two Big Days of Community Celebration

The much-loved Westfund Lithgow Show is set to return this weekend, promising two big days of entertainment, agriculture and community celebration at the Tony Luchetti Sportsground. Now celebrating more than 140 years, the event continues to be one of the region’s most important annual gatherings, bringing together families, farmers, businesses and visitors from across the Central West and Blue Mountains.

Running from Friday 13 to Saturday 14 March, the Show will once again showcase the very best of country show traditions alongside an exciting lineup of modern entertainment designed to appeal to all ages.

Friday kicks off with Kids Day, where school-aged children will be able to enter the Show free of charge, making it a perfect afternoon and evening outing for local families. A highlight of the opening day will be the vibrant “Freaky Friday” Fashions at the Show competition, encouraging visitors to dress up and join in the fun with prizes on offer for the most creative outfits.

Across the two days, visitors can expect a packed program featuring crowd favourites including Circus Aurelia, Gravity FMX freestyle motocross, Cowgirls with Wings, the Outback Stockman, woodchopping competitions and the ever-popular animal nursery. Agricultural displays and demonstrations such as shearing, junior judging and the Young Farmers Challenge will also highlight the region’s strong rural heritage.

Families will also enjoy live entertainment, helicopter rides, pet competitions, dog high jumps, local band performances and displays from community and emergency services. The event will culminate with spectacular evening attractions including fireworks and a drone light show lighting up the Lithgow sky.

Beyond the entertainment, the Westfund Lithgow Show remains a vital community event, celebrating the people, skills and industries that help shape the region. From pavilion exhibits and livestock competitions to local food stalls and trade displays, the showgrounds will once again be buzzing with activity and community pride.

Organisers are encouraging locals and visitors alike to mark the dates in their calendar and come along to support one of the Central West’s great country traditions.
