As we move further into 2026, it’s an exciting time for our Chamber and the wider Bathurst business community.
Our recent meetings have seen strong engagement and positive discussion around how we continue to support, connect and advocate for local businesses. It has been wonderful to see both long-standing members and new faces contributing ideas and energy to the direction of the Chamber.
We were pleased to kick off the year with our first After Hours event at the Majellan Club, hosted by the Bathurst Business Chamber. It was a fantastic start to the year, bringing members together in a relaxed and welcoming setting. A highlight of the evening was our guest speaker, Vicki Secombe from NSW Chamber, who provided valuable insights into the Alliance Programme and how it benefits our members and the broader business community.
Last Tuesday we also held a successful After Hours event at El Guapo, where members had the opportunity to hear more about the business journey, growth and local impact of this vibrant Bathurst business. Events like these showcase the diversity, resilience and innovation within our local business community, while continuing to strengthen connections between members. Planning is also well underway for the Bathurst Business Awards 2026. This is one of the Chamber’s flagship events and a wonderful opportunity to recognise and celebrate the achievements, innovation and resilience of our local businesses. We are currently working through sponsorship opportunities and category planning and look forward to sharing more details in the coming months.

As President, I am incredibly proud of the commitment shown by our board. We now have a strong team in place, bringing diverse skills and perspectives, and I thank each of them for their time and dedication.
