Oberon Garden Club Celebrates National Recognition and Announces 2026 Autumn Showcase Line-Up

Congratulations are in order for the Oberon Garden Club (OGC) team, who have been nominated for Volunteer Group of the Year in the 2026 Australia Day Awards. The nomination recognises the tireless work of local volunteers who continue to enrich the community through events, fundraising and the promotion of Oberon as a premier regional garden destination. Fingers crossed for the big announcement — the community is right behind you.

Adding to the excitement, the much-anticipated 2026 Autumn Colour Garden Showcase garden list has now been confirmed, and organisers could not be more thrilled with what’s in store. Set to take place on April 18 and 19, 2026, the showcase will feature an impressive collection of gardens ranging from sprawling rural estates to a standout residential garden recently featured on Better Homes and Gardens.

As always, Oberon’s stunning autumn colours will provide the perfect backdrop, transforming the high country into a vibrant tapestry of reds, golds and oranges. Visitors can expect a diverse program across the weekend, with selected feature gardens hosting guest speakers, hands-on workshops, arts and craft displays and plant sales. The Oberon Craft Centre will also return, once again setting up at the picturesque Bellenden site to add another creative layer to the event.

Garden lovers are encouraged to stay connected and keep up to date with announcements, speakers and stallholders by following Oberon Garden Club and @oberon_garden_showcase on Instagram, as well as the official Facebook event page.

With accommodation expected to book out quickly, organisers are urging visitors to plan early, rally a green-thumbed friend and lock in a weekend escape to experience autumn in the Oberon high country at its absolute best.

A heartfelt thank you has also been extended to the generous garden owners who open their properties to the public. Without their dedication, hard work and passion, this much-loved charitable event would not be possible. Proceeds from the showcase continue to support vital initiatives through the Oberon Hospital Auxiliary, ensuring the event delivers lasting benefits to the local community.

With national recognition on the horizon and another spectacular showcase in the pipeline, 2026 is shaping up to be a standout year for Oberon’s garden community. See you in Oberon this autumn.
