Lithgow Community Private to continue services for our community

The Board of Directors of Lithgow Community Private Hospital (LCP) are aware that there is community concern regarding the ongoing services provided to our community by LCP. This uncertainty is presenting challenges when choosing to schedule important procedures.

The board is happy to announce that LCP will continue normal operations beyond November 2022, in anticipation of finalising a new service agreement with Nepean Blue Mountains Local Health District (NBMLHD).

NBMLHD has collaborated with LCP since its formation and will continue to work closely with LCP’s staff and clinicians.

LCP is working to develop a new sustainable model and is in discussion with NBMLHD regarding a new agreement to provide certainty for both parties. There is acknowledgement of the valuable role played by LCP in addressing the health needs of the greater Lithgow area.

The Board would like to thank our LCP staff, doctors, patients and the broader community for their efforts and ongoing support especially during the past couple of uncertain months. In particular, we would like to thank the Hon Paul Toole MP, Member for Bathurst, Deputy Premier and Minister for Regional New South Wales and the Hon Bronnie Taylor MLC Minister for Women, Minister for Regional Health, and Minister for Mental Health for their support of LCP in continuing to provide valuable health services to the community.

We look forward to sharing confirmed good news with you in the future.
