Portland RSL Club has a new President with the recent elections held on Saturday 21st May. Local Bree McManus has had the torch passed to her from the previous President, Denis Kelly, who had been in the role for many years.
Along with a new President, the RSL has seen the return of many of the existing board members and the addition of some new people as well.
Chatting with Bree recently, it is easy to become excited by some of the growth and development that is to be discussed by the board of the Club, with the hopes of increasing the new membership and the benefits for the current members.
Bree said “I’m humbled to have been elected by the members to lead the organisation and look forward to working collaboratively with the Board of Directors to maximise the Club’s potential. I’m also really looking forward to meeting all the members, those long standing, and those yet to join!”
Portland RSL Club is open from 10am, 7 days a week and is located at 10 Wolgan Street. The Club has regular weekly Bingo and Raffles so be sure to pop in and check it out.
