World-Class Music Returns to Oberon This November

Oberon is preparing to welcome some of Australia’s finest classical musicians when the Oberon Chamber Music Festival returns from Friday 20 to Sunday 22 November, offering a wonderful weekend of music in some of the town’s most beautiful venues.

Now in its fourth year, the festival continues to grow, attracting talented performers and music lovers to the region for a celebration of classical music, beautiful surroundings and country hospitality.

Under the direction of Artistic Director Emma Jardine, this year’s program features six concerts across three venues – the historic Malachi Gilmore Hall, St Barnabas’ Anglican Church and the stunning chapel at Mayfield Garden.

The festival opens on Friday evening with a gala concert featuring works by Mozart and Dvořák, setting the scene for a weekend of exceptional performances.

Saturday’s program includes French harpist Louisic Dulbecco, Principal Harp of the Sydney Symphony Orchestra, along with an afternoon vocal performance and a special candlelit concert at St Barnabas’ Church.

On Sunday, internationally acclaimed guitarist Karin Schaupp will perform at Mayfield Garden’s chapel, offering visitors the opportunity to enjoy beautiful music surrounded by one of the region’s most spectacular gardens. The festival concludes that afternoon with a performance featuring works by Boccherini and Brahms.

A special Saturday long lunch also offers festival-goers the chance to relax, enjoy local hospitality and connect with fellow music lovers.

Beyond the concerts, the festival provides another fantastic reason to visit Oberon, explore its attractions, support local businesses and enjoy everything the region has to offer.

Whether you’re a dedicated classical music enthusiast or simply looking for something different to experience, this is a wonderful opportunity to enjoy world-class entertainment right here in the Central West.
