The Bathurst business community came together once again for another fantastic After Hours Business Event, hosted by the Bathurst Business Chamber in partnership with Bathurst Regional Council on Tuesday, 11 August.
Held at the Bathurst Railway Museum, the evening was incredibly well attended, continuing what has been a growing trend for the Chamber’s After Hours events – each one just seems to get better and better!
These events have become a must for business owners right across the Bathurst LGA. Whether you operate a home-based business, employ a small team or run one of the region’s larger organisations, they provide a relaxed and welcoming opportunity to meet others in the business community, make new connections and strengthen existing ones.
A highlight of the August event was a fantastic presentation from Bathurst Regional Council on the proposed activation of the Bathurst TAFE Heritage Precinct.
The presentation generated plenty of interest from those attending, with some great questions and discussion around the project and what the precinct could mean for Bathurst into the future.
The evening was another great example of the value of bringing business, Council and the broader community together – sharing information, exchanging ideas and, importantly, building connections.
And there was plenty more happening within the Bathurst business community, with attention now firmly turning to the 2026 Bathurst Business Awards electrified by Kelso Electrical. The Gala Dinner will be held on Saturday, 5 September, with excitement building following the announcement of this year’s finalists.
Voting closed on 3 August, with an incredible more than 2,500 votes received in the Customer Service categories alone – a wonderful reflection of the support the Bathurst community continues to show its local businesses. The Customer Service categories are the only awards determined by public voting, with all other categories independently judged by experienced judges from outside the Bathurst region, ensuring a fair and transparent process.
And you certainly don’t need to be a finalist – or even a Chamber member – to be part of the celebrations!
